The Craghoppers Film Prize, which is awarded as part of the Discover Film Awards, celebrates the very best student and established short filmmakers from around the world.

Craghoppers is looking to support emerging independent filmmaking and has provided filmmakers with over £135,000 in cash funding over the past 5 years.

Previous winners have gone on to make documentaries, dramas, music videos and feature films and have won major accolades including Oscars.  

The Craghoppers Film Prize will be up for grabs at the 2022 Discover Film Awards in London, and entries will be shortlisted from the festival no matter what genre. The first prize is £12,000 in cash with a second prize of £6,000 in cash, £4,000 for the Best Documentary, £4,000 for the Best Social Impact film, and £2,000 in student prizes.

Films can be any genre but must be 45 minutes or under to enter the competition. There is no lower limit on run time.

To enter as a student, you must be studying at the time of the film’s production. Evidence of study or student ID may be requested upon applying.
