Tears of Steel
Tears of Steel is a short science fiction film about a group of warriors and scientists in the future who gather in Amsterdam to stage a crucial event from the past in a desperate attempt to rescue the world from destructive robots.
The short sci-fi film is about a group of warriors and scientists who gather at the Oude Kerk in a future Amterdam to stage a crucial event from the past in a desperate attempt to rescue the world from destructive robots. It begins with a view of a rocket lifting off. The camera than pans to a bridge, where Thom (Vanja Rukavina) and Celia (Denise Rebergen) are standing on, arguing.
Forty years later in the future, the last bit of the sequence is replayed through as a memory sync for a project. On top of a modified and futuristic Oude Kerk, Barley (Sergio Hasselbaink) activates the lights of a flying vehicle attacked by a group of rogue robots. Barley then lowers an older Thom inside the Oude Kirk. The captain commands scientists to simulate the same bridge location as shown earlier in the film, along with a robot in containment.
Tears of Steel is a mixture of live action and animation made using Blender, the open source animation software.
