A young couple (Keira Knightley & Tom Mison) begin to receive daily visits from their downstairs neighbor, Steve (Colin Firth). Steve draws attention to various practical problems and is eager to have tea, but what is really on his mind?

In the short film, Steve, which was Rupert Friend’s directorial debut, Colin Firth plays a neighbor who asks for a cup of tea from the couple living upstairs, Keira Knightley and Tom Mison. Although Steve’s requests appear to be pleasant and run-of-the-mill, there is something lurking in Steve’s neediness.  Through the course of the short film, Steve,the notions of politesse, manners, and propriety are questioned.  This short film was first aired in 2010, but stands the test of time.
